Stage Door are pleased to present The Al Goodman Collection as part of our ongoing "On Demand" CD Series. 

The collection will reissue the many exquisite studio cast albums Goodman conducted in the 40s, 50s and 60s. These albums feature highlights from a wide selection of musicals and operettas, performed by an array of stars from the world of Broadway and opera. Originally issued across sets of 45rpm and 78rpm records (and later on LP), many of these albums are now highly collectable and sought after. 

Volume Two spotlights the 1949 studio cast recording of Sigmund Romberg and Dorothy Donnelly's Blossom Time, a musical based on the life and melodies of Franz Schubert. Goodman conducted the original Broadway production in 1921 and for this studio recording assembles a superb cast led by Earl Wrightson, Donald Dame, Mary Martha Briney, Blanka Peric and The Mullen Sisters. Also featured  is the 1947 studio cast recording of Sigmund Romberg and Dorothy Donnelly's The Student Prince, this classic operetta is presented on record with Goodman's choice selection of performers including Earl Wrighton, Donald Dame, Mary Martha Briney and Frances Greer,
