Door are pleased to present The Al Goodman Collection as part
of our ongoing "On Demand" CD Series.
The collection will reissue the
many exquisite studio cast albums Goodman conducted in the 40s, 50s and 60s. These
albums feature highlights from a wide selection of musicals and operettas,
performed by an array of stars from the world of Broadway and opera. Originally issued across sets of 45rpm and 78rpm records (and later
on LP), many of these albums are now highly collectable and sought after.
Volume Three spotlights the 1948 studio cast recording of Sigmund Romberg,
Oscar Hammerstein II, Otto Harbach and Frank Mandel's classic operetta The
Desert Song. Once again, Goodman has assembled a stellar cast led by Earl
Wrightson, Frances Greer
and Jimmy Carroll.
Also featured is the 1949 studio cast recording of Romberg,
Hammerstein and Mandel's The New Moon,
presented on record with Goodman's choice selection of performers including Earl
Wrightson, Donald Dame, Frances Greer and Earl Oxford.
All releases in The Al Goodman Collection are
