Actor, singer and dancer extraordinaire,

'Damn Yankees' to Charity in 'Sweet Charity' and Roxie Hart in
'Chicago'. The recipient of four Tony Awards and an inductee of the American Theatre Hall of Fame, Verdon's career on stage is unparalleled.
As a recording artist, Verdon issued only one solo album, the 1956 recording 'The Girl I Left Home
For'. Accompanied by Joe Reisman and his Orchestra, the album effectively showcases Verdon as not just an exemplary performer on stage but as a song stylist and gifted recording artist. Alongside 'The Girl I Left Home For', this collection is complemented by Verdon's performances from the cast albums of
'Damn Yankees', 'New Girl In Town' and 'Redhead' (roles
for which she was awarded the Tony for 'Best Actress In A Musical'.)
